As I am writing this week's report, it is a typical Monday morning here in the Capital City. Four inches of snow covers the Capitol grounds. We now have four weeks remaining in the 2012 General Assembly Session with adjournment scheduled for Saturday, March 10th. While I always enjoy my time in Richmond working on my constituents' behalf, I do look forward to returning home to Russell County to be near friends and family next month. Read More »

Thursday, February 9th marks the halfway point of the 2012 General Assembly Session. Despite this "mile marker," there is still plenty of work for the legislature to do before it adjourns on March 10th. We still have over 1900 bills and resolutions, including the Governor's introduced budget bill, to consider over the next 30 days.
